Pensacola, Florida – Evolve ‘n Thrive Events has officially launched registration and fundraising for its 2nd Annual Benefit Ball. Paint the Town a Gay…la Masquerade Ball, presented by Red Ribbon Charitable Foundation, will be held January 11, 2020 at the Pensacola Museum of Commerce. The 2020 sponsors include Visit Pensacola and Southern Equality Fund. Performers include Monica Heart, Amy DeMilo, Miss Cie, Vanessa Vogue, and Raven Samore.

Evolve ‘n Thrive Events, a local nonprofit organization, creates fun and safe events for the LGBTQ community. The organization is based in Pensacola, Florida, and it aims to expand its reach throughout the Southeast United States, especially in smaller communities. The funds raised at the ball will go toward future events.

“This year’s ball is going to be even bigger and better than last year’s. I am really excited about how we have grown and what is to come,” said Julie Still-Rolin, President and Founder at Evolve ‘n Thrive Events. Julie, a local author and event planner, founded the organization based on her own experiences of coming out in a small town, which she addresses in her latest book, Coming Out in the South.

Paint the Town

The upcoming ball highlights and celebrates  diversity in the arts and culture. Attendees are encouraged to express  themselves through color, dress, masks, and costumes. The night will begin  with drinks, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and light dancing from 6-8 p.m. The show  will kick off at 8:30 p.m. The performers will delight the audience and launch  more dancing. Local artist, Carter J will be doing portraits. Throughout the night, guests will have the opportunity to bid on amazing items in a silent auction.
